I wanted to make a project to question the human experience. In our lives, we never receive answers for our purpose or the reason for our existence. There are so many questions about humanity and why we do what we do that it can drive people to have a nihilistic perspective on the world. As one gets older, it’s natural to question one’s religion or lack thereof and where we go when we die. My project is meant to project and face the questions we never get the answers to.
I, myself am the subject and I am sitting looking at the camera looking for answers to why the world is the way it is. No one can see inside another person’s mind, so the blood is a manifestation of thoughts. People can be so distracted by the beauty and faces that they do not realize that each person’s mind has so much going on. I was able to actually write and title each thought that I wanted to provoke the viewer to think about. I created layers to add an eerie element to the film due to the lack of answers to the questions. I also added sounds to intensify the eeriness of the film. I was able to use some cool effects to show how the mind can warp and show different realities.
